Meet the Owner: A note from Jack Murphy

Hey. I’m Jack….the guy behind Motion 3 Technology. Below are a few of the reasons that I started my company back in 2011: my wife, Rachel, and our two kids, Malachai and Aurora. They support a lot of the technology experiments that I bring home, and we’re always messing with the latest tech tools, apps, and games. They help me figure out how to solve problems creatively, and I’ve learned tons from them about communicating with clarity and patience.

Motion 3 Technology (formerly JD Murphy and Associates) was created with a very simple mission: to bring the humanity back to IT. So often, my friends and family would call on me to explain something that had already been “explained” by another IT or tech professional…who actually left them confused or feeling belittled. It’s also quite intimidating to get a quote for work at your home or business and have no concept of whether the price is fair. I wanted to do what I’ve always loved to do—use technology to expand our understanding of the world around us—while helping other people to find the same fun and excitement in the potential of technology that I did. So, I found professionals who value communication, patience, and consistency and formed Motion 3 Technology. Let us help you put your business in motion!

  1. Audit

Every work arrangement begins with a human-to-human interaction. Motion 3 will come to your office or location to better understand the systems you are currently using and how you are using them. We use this interaction to craft our IT Audit document, which we deliver to you regardless of whether you opt to work with Motion 3 or prefer to go with another technology company.

 

Every business receives a comprehensive, 60+ page report that evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of their current systems, plus recommendations and solutions for any existing problems.

 

2. Strategy + Planning

Based on the results of our IT Audit, we will make recommendations for short-term solutions and/or long-term strategy. The planning session will lay out the timeframe and budget for the project and determine the best way to maximize our interaction with your company and minimize downtime.

 

One-time, monthly, and quarterly planning sessions are part of the Motion 3 Model of Service.

 

3. Solution Implementation

Your trust in our team is critical. From one-time projects to long-term partnerships, Motion 3 will deploy solutions, systems, and devices on a schedule that works best for your company and your employees. This includes hosting individual or group education and training sessions as well as more technical solutions.
