The Cincinnati Observatory is the oldest professional observatory in the United States, and its exhibits require a technological interface that is both user friendly and technologically sound.

The Problem

  • Network conflicts with wired and wireless connectivity.

Our Solution

  • Created corrective actions and policies to automatically restart network services, including DHCP and DNS.

  • No file management for user access policies.

  • Joined staff PCs to domain server.

  • Set up user groups, network shares, and permissions for files.

  • Set up appropriate group policies to both secure and automate actions from the small business server to the staff workstations and laptops.

  • Desire to begin transitioning server roles to cloud-based services.

  • Assessed Office365 or Google Applications for a better fit.

  • Created a transfer strategy for applications that could not be migrated to cloud services or were too costly for the organization to migrate.

McCluskey Chevrolet is a Cincinnati-based automotive dealership that has historically functioned in a traditional sales environment.

The Problem

Our Solution

  • Desire for office-less sales environment.

  • Developed a custom application integrating on-prem and cloud-based resources.

  • Created one application that easily guides staff through the custom application with limited training and instruction.

  • Created a front-end experience for the guest to self-guide through the application without any instruction or assistance from staff.

  • Client requested 27” iMacs that met the following requirements:

  • Secure without a login to start the machine.

  • Allow for a staff experience for the sales process.

  • Allow for a client experience for research and education on new and used vehicles.

  • Open applications on an iMac that only run on a Windows operating system.

  • Met on a weekly basis to build out the application in small, detailed steps.

  • Utilized a combination of secure kiosk software and operating system virtualization to allow for a protected and easy to use environment.

  • Created a fluid environment to access both OSX and Windows 8.1 operating systems for different programmatic staff needs.
